Mick and Rach are more than just business owners, they’re a husband-and-wife team driven by passion, hard work, and a commitment to excellence. As parents to three wonderful girls, they understand the importance of reliability and trust. These are the values they bring into every aspect of their business. Together, they have built Summertime Electrical & Security into a company that stands for quality, innovation, and genuine customer care.
Mick
Has over 16 years electrical trade experience specialising in security work. He holds a Master Security Licence and has worked hard to build excellent relationships within the security industry. He is one of the local industry leaders in security work.
Rach
Has over 19 years’ experience in Administration & Management rolls. She is also the business owner & office manager. Rach coordinates the team & ensures that all things run smoothly in the business. Rach also spends many hours volunteering and dedicates herself and resources to local fundraising events, she is always the first to put her hand up and help wherever possible.

Our journey started with Mick on the tools, Rach in the office, and our three beautiful daughters—who have never been shy about sharing their thoughts during business discussions around the dinner table!

HUGH TERRY
SECURITY TECHNICIAN
APPRENTICE Electrician
joined the team in 2023 bringing his expertise in commercial security maintenance. As our Apprentice Electrician, Hugh has proven himself to be an invaluable team member, diving into projects with enthusiasm and fitting in perfectly.
BILLY WEATHERSTONE
SOLAR AND BATTERY DESIGNER & INSTALLER
Electrician
we welcomed Billy to the Summertime team in March 2024. A skilled electrician with extensive experience in solar installation and maintenance, Billy is known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality—qualities that make him a true asset to the team.
LAURIE DALEY
Security technician

by April 2024 we expanded further with Laurie, who brings a diverse background spanning hospitality and technical roles. Laurie is now undertaking an Electrical Apprenticeship, bringing his adaptability and eagerness to learn into every project.
Tyson brindle
Electrician
Joined us in August 2024, quickly earning raving reviews from our customers for his friendly and helpful nature. Tyson has worked in the industry for over 15 years & previously worked alongside Billy, Tyson brings extensive solar expertise, further strengthening our capabilities.
Thomas small
Security technician
Rounding off a year of significant growth Tom joined the team in November 2024. As a skilled Security Technician and IT specialist, Tom has added a technical edge to our security division, bringing innovative solutions and a deep understanding of the latest technologies.
Lily Weatherstone

Early in 2025 Lily joined the team, Lily brings a wealth of administration & customer service experience from her time working for a leading local real estate agency. Now serving as our Marketing & Customer Relations specialist, Lily is passionate about enhancing customer experiences and driving engagement. She is also Billy’s wife, making her an even more special part of the Summertime family!

Our newest team member, Dylan is a third-year apprentice & has excellent experience that he brings to the team. Dylan has worked on new build electrical installations and is looking to further develop his skills in the Solar and Security electrical areas. Dylan is a local that brings a great energy and experience to the team.
JACK CHENEY

SCHOOL BASED APPRENTICE
Our newest apprentice, Jack, officially signed with Summertime Electrical & Security in October 2025 after completing more than 12 months of work experience with our team. Jack is a local Grafton student who will continue to complete Year 11 and 12 while beginning his apprenticeship journey. We are excited to support Jack as he grows, learns, and develops his skills in the electrical, solar, and security fields.
